Privacy Policy
RP Media LLC ("RP Media," "I," or "me") is an Ohio limited liability company that builds websites for construction and trades businesses. This policy explains what information rpmediallc.com collects, why it is collected, and what happens to it. Short version: I collect what you type into the contact form so I can reply to you, and nothing else. There are no advertising pixels, no analytics trackers, and no data selling on this site.
1. Information You Give Me
The only place this site asks for information is the quote request form. When you submit it, I receive:
- Your name
- Your business name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your current website address, if you enter one
- What you are looking for (new site, redesign, or other)
- Any message you choose to write
All of these are optional in the sense that you are never required to use the form. You can call or email me instead. If you contact me directly by phone, text, or email, I keep that correspondence so I can follow up.
2. Information Collected Automatically
This site does not run Google Analytics, the Meta pixel, or any other analytics or advertising tracker. It does not set its own cookies.
Two things still happen automatically, because they happen on essentially every website:
- Server logs. The site is hosted on Netlify, which records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. Netlify uses this for security, abuse prevention, and delivering the site. I use it only in aggregate, if at all.
- Web fonts. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser makes a request to Google's servers to fetch them, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request. Google states that Google Fonts does not use this to build advertising profiles. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
3. How I Use Your Information
I use what you submit to:
- Reply to your request and answer your questions
- Prepare a quote, proposal, or free mockup for you
- Follow up about a project you asked about
- Deliver and support work you have hired me to do
- Send invoices and keep business records required for tax and accounting purposes
I do not sell your information. I do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to data brokers or advertisers. I do not add you to a marketing email list from a form submission alone.
4. Who Else Touches Your Information
I use a small set of ordinary business tools to run RP Media. Your information may pass through them only so they can perform their function:
- Netlify hosts this website and processes form submissions.
- Google Workspace hosts my business email, so any message you send lives in my inbox.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site.
- Stripe processes payments if you become a client. I never see or store your full card number; Stripe handles that directly.
- Calendly handles scheduling if you book a call through a link I send you. What you enter there is governed by Calendly's own privacy policy.
Beyond those providers, I share information only when I am legally required to, such as in response to a valid legal request, or when it is necessary to protect my legal rights.
5. How Long I Keep It
Inquiries that do not turn into projects are kept as long as they are useful for follow-up, and no longer than three years. Client records, contracts, and invoices are kept for at least seven years to satisfy tax and recordkeeping obligations. You can ask me to delete your information sooner and I will, except where I am required to retain it.
6. Your Choices
You can ask me at any time to tell you what information I have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email ryan@rpmediallc.com and I will respond within 30 days. There is no charge for this.
If you are a resident of a state or country with specific privacy rights, such as California or the European Union, those rights apply to you and I will honor them. Because I do not sell personal information, there is no sale for you to opt out of.
7. Security
Form submissions travel over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and the accounts holding your information are protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, so I cannot promise absolute protection, but I do not collect sensitive categories of data in the first place: no Social Security numbers, no health information, and no payment card numbers.
8. Children
This site is for business owners and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information here, email me and I will delete it.
9. Links to Other Sites
This site may link to websites I have built for clients or to third-party tools. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of sites I do not control. Read their policies before giving them your information.
10. Changes to This Policy
If I add a tool that changes what gets collected, such as analytics or an advertising pixel, I will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
